Ubuntu: Replace your vi by vim
shell> sudo su
shell> apt-get install vim
shell> cd /etc/alternative
shell> rm -f vi
shell> ln -s /usr/bin/vim vi
shell> apt-get install vim
shell> cd /etc/alternative
shell> rm -f vi
shell> ln -s /usr/bin/vim vi
